What people are saying…

Working with Ms. Sarah Coan has been a positive and helpful experience for me. Although I am very efficient when I do work, I have always struggled with proper time management and having the motivation to do work. I was always stuck in this cycle where I would be super productive for one day, get a lot of work done, and then do little to no work for the next two to three days. Although it got me through school, this cycle did not let me do a lot of work outside of just school work, whether it was applying to scholarships and internships, doing my research, etc. However, after meeting with Ms. Sarah, I was able to improve these bad habits. Ms. Sarah has a myriad of different strategies to try and set goals or manage time because her policy was to just try things that I wanted to try and scrap the rest. This was really nice and made me much more open to cooperating and giving my best effort to the strategies I did try because I was never forced to try anything I did not want to. Ms. Sarah is also an extremely positive person. There is a saying, “Smiling is contagious”, and I noticed through my sessions with her that she is always smiling and always has a positive outlook on life, which is such an amazing thing to witness and I noticed it sometimes brightened my day or mood. I can also tell that she is very passionate about what she does and she has a large desire to help people. Even when we don’t have our sessions, she will still comment on our shared Google document, giving me pointers or encouraging me, or she will send me text messages with similar content. These reminders and encouragements help me continue practicing these strategies, especially on days when I find it difficult. All in all, working with Ms. Sarah has been beneficial to me and helped me with time management and motivation, and her positivity is extremely contagious.
